“Do it yourself.” This sounds simple enough, but the truth is that many people in our community cannot simply do things themselves. We all need help from time to time, and many in our community need help a significant portion of the time. The poet John Donne said, “No man is an island.” At The Liberatore Law Firm, we live this. None of us is an island, and we must all work together, and help one another, to make the most of the life we are given. Those in positions of strength should apply that strength to those in need.
Our firm’s vision of giving back to our community originated with the efforts that our founder, Anthony Liberatore, has made over the past three decades. Whether it is mentoring younger attorneys in a one-on-one setting, or speaking to peers at group events, Mr. Liberatore believes in sharing one’s knowledge with others and being generous with one’s time. For several years, Mr. Liberatore was a member of the Board of Directors of a local non-profit focused on providing real-life skills to children and young adults afflicted by developmental disabilities. Under the guidance of the Board of Directors these students and young people excelled, and the non-profit entity was able to raise enough funds to purchase its own building. This ensured the continued pursuit of its focused mission.
Today, Mr. Liberatore focuses on giving back to the community in two primary ways: education and pro bono work. He is an active member of both the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles and the Consumer Attorneys of California.
Both of these groups are instrumental in efforts to ensure that everyday people have access to justice and to legal counsel of their choice.
In addition, Mr. Liberatore provides select pro bono representation in matters both in and out of court. One of his continued passions is offering his time to help the next generation of young lawyers by volunteering at law school moot court competitions.
At The Liberatore Law Firm. we are committed to continually giving back to our community. If you know of a deserving non-profit or effort that we should support, we invite you to email us to let us know about it. Non-profits focused on legal justice and legal education within the limits of Los Angeles County are especially invited to let us know of their events and programs.
