Elder Abuse
The law recognizes that members of our society of advanced age may not be able to take care of themselves physically, financially or emotionally. Over the past several decades there has been an increase in the number of skilled and assisted living facilities. It is a billion dollar a year industry. There are strict Federal and State laws which govern the means, methods and manner of providing care and treatment to elders. All elders should be provided care that maintains the health, state of mind, dignity, quality of life, and focusses on the needs of the patient and their family.
